Co-Curricular
We believe in providing a balanced education and various opportunities for our students so that they can enjoy a wide range of learning where they can develop their skills, knowledge and talents. We have a number of groups and clubs that students are welcome to participate in.
Planet Protectors (Years 3-6)
This group of environmentally aware students help lead the environmental initiatives at our school. They run our Containers for Change program and our composting. This year we have begun our vegetable garden initiative. Families and staff are able to purchase produce for a donation, all proceeds go back into purchasing new seedlings.
Student Council (Years 3 - 6)
Our Student Council is a group of representatives across the school who meet regularly to discuss school improvement ideas. They are also in charge of raising and lowering the flags each day and running activities on Samaritan Day.
Mini Vinnies (Years 3 - 6)
Our Mini Vinnies students are a very busy group. They run our fundraising raffles for Caritas and lead the charge in our St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hamper Appeal. When able to, these students interact with the residents of Regis Aged Care Home through visits, providing Christmas decorations, videos of songs and much more.
Other Clubs
There are various other clubs that run throughout the year. These clubs are run by staff who volunteer their time. Club times and venues are promoted throughout the year. Clubs include:
- Singing Club
- Let’s Read Together (Prep - Year 2)
- Tech Club
- Run Club (Term 1 and 2)

CV 3 Robotics for St Francis Catholic School Ayr
St Francis Catholic School, Ayr was successful with a $3000 Federal grant which enabled the school to obtain a CV 3 Robotics kit. This kit will be used with the school’s Coding Club as well as in the Upper year levels when studying Science. We are very grateful and know that the kits will be utilised well across the school
